German WW2 CLOSE COMBAT BADGE IN SILVER, Marked
This item depicted in the images below is a rare German WW2 CLOSE COMBAT BADGE IN SILVER, (Nahkampfspange in Silber). The Close Combat Clasp was introduced in late 1942 in order to award personnel who fought in hand-to-hand combat situations. The clasp was issued in three grades - Bronze, Silver and Gold with each successive grade signifying more days spent in hand-to-hand or close combat. Criteria for award of the clasps consisted of fifteen days of hand-to hand combat for the of the Bronze award, thirty days of hand-to-hand combat for the Silver one and fifty days of hand-to-hand combat for being awarded the Gold clasp. For sample I put a real photo with this badge.
Reference: Detlev Niemann in "Price Guide. Orders and decorations Germany", 2004, page 617, catalogue price is from 500 EURO ($600 - five years ago !!). Original pictures.

But he do not take any packages from outside of Germany (problem with custom). Also I am not a licensed dealer and can not give you Certificate of Authenticity. For this purpose I give to all clients 3 days for inspect the item - the item can be return for any reason for money back (minus shipping costs, paypal or bank transfer fee...).
